Forehead lifts are usually performed using local anesthesia, supplemented by a mild sedative to keep you awake, yet relaxed. Dr. Sureddi will make an incision across the top of the head just above the hairline. Excess skin and portions of the muscle is then removed through the incision, which is then closed with clips or sutures. Forehead and brow lifts may be performed alone, or along with other procedures such as a facelift or eyelid surgery. Forehead lifts can also be done using smaller incisions with an endoscope in select cases.

Most patients are on their feet in a couple of days, and back to work within two weeks. Strenuous exertion, which increases your blood pressure, should be avoided for about a month, along with prolonged exposure to heat or the sun.
